HIPAA Policy

This policy shall be incorporated into the End User Agreement for Viral Testimonial customers.

This policy is in regard to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

Viral Testimonial is a local review service that is not designed or intended to collect and store protected health information. Viral Testimonial is designed to help you generate reviews, make it easy for your customers to share these reviews, and manage your online reputation in a software dashboard.

If you are a health care provider or a company who does business in the health industry, please be aware that a customer might choose to reveal health information about themselves or someone else within a review. Viral testimonial (Sorez Connect, LLC) and its officers, owners, directors, agents, employees, affiliates, and assigns are not liable for the disclosure of such information that your customers or yourself submit willingly within our software or service and to the various review sites we publish to.

If you choose to customize or use Viral Testimonial in a way that involves the storage of protected health information, please understand that you are doing so at your own risk. Viral testimonial (Sorez Connect, LLC) does not authorize nor support such usage of our software. Our software is not intended to be used to store private, sensitive health data with or without your customer’s consent. By using our software you agree to fully indemnify and hold Viral Testimonial (Sorez Connect, LLC) and its owners, employees, officers, directors, agents, affiliates, and assigns harmless from any liability that arises because of your use of Viral Testimonial in a way that it was not designed or intended.

Viral Testimonial does make every effort to use standard security and encryption in its software, though as with any service, nothing can be completely guaranteed to be risk free online.

We reserve the right to modify this HIPPA Policy at any time and we reserve the right to suspend usage of the software for unintended purposes.
